|
The City Commission approved the purchase of five (5) parking meters in FY2014 Capital Budget. This purchase will allow improved performance to the Parking Enforcement Division when dealing with collections, meter repair as well as ease of operation for the customer.
Staff requests the City Commission to authorize the City Manager to pay an amount not to exceed the sum of $65,000.00 to Harrington Resources Inc. for the purchase of five (5) parking meters. Last July the City installed two (2) of these meters at the City’s Ocean Park parking lot. The new meters have performed without incident or interruption since installation. Furthermore, these types of meters have additional functional options such as; pay-by-phone and pay-by-space, that the City may utilize at a future date when all the meters at the beach are replaced.
